about Mrs. Johnson - johnsons@lmsr.noacsc.org
My name is Stacee Johnson. I am the Fifth grade
teacher at St. Rose. I have lived in Lima for 32 years. I am married and
have 3 children.
I earned my teaching degree from Wright State University
in 2001. Since that time, I have been substitute teaching in various schools
in Allen county. I have enjoyed the flexibility of subbing since I have
young children. However, this job opportunity was brought to my attention
and it felt right to go for it!
I have always enjoyed working with children, whether
it is in or out of the classroom. At a young age, I was inspired by my
grandparents to work with children. They were foster parents for over
30 years and touched the lives of over 100 children. Seeing this process
allowed me to learn that all children basically want the same thing: to
be loved and accepted.
I have several teaching philosophies that guide
my work. First, we need to teach our children to be tolerant of the differences
around us. Next, I work to encourage every student to strive to do their
best. I follow the encouragement with praise and support. Last, I honestly
believe that every child can learn. If you keep in mind that every child
learns differently and has different strengths, then you can help every
child become successful.
I am so thankful and blessed to have the opportunity
to work with the children and staff at St. Rose Catholic School!
