about Mr. Bourk - bourkd@lmsr.noacsc.org
My name is Darby Bourk. I was born and raised in
Lima, Ohio. I graduated from St. Gerard School and Lima Central Catholic.
I went to college at Ohio Domincan where I graduated with a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Education in 1994. I have my Basic, Intermediate, and
Advanced Religion Certification from both the Diocese of Columbus and
the Diocese of Toledo.
My first teaching position was as a full time substitute
at St. Timothy School in Columbus from 1994 to 1995. From 1995 to 1996,
I went on to teach First Grade at Christ the King Elementary, also in
Columbus. In 1996, I was hired as a Fourth Grade teacher at St. Brigid
of Kildare School in Dublin, Ohio. At the time, St. Brigid was a brand
new school, so I gained a lot of valuable experience in witnessing the
opening of a new school and all the hard work that goes into it.
I taught at St. Brigid until 2002, when I took a
job as a salesman. After I realized I enjoyed teaching much better than
selling, I returned to Lima in 2003 and started substituting at St. Gerard
School. I was hired at St. Rose in 2004 where I have been teaching Third
Grade ever since.
It is a great honor to be a part of such a wonderful
school. The faculty, staff, and students have been outstanding. I look
forward to many years of service at such a fabulous school.
